Lakeshore Graduation Requirements
Students are required to complete 22 credits and specific classes listed below (+required courses). In addition to achieving a minimum of 22 credits, students must also participate in the Michigan Merit Exam (MME) in the spring of their junior year. Participation in the annual graduation ceremony will be limited to those seniors who have met all requirements.

Meet Michigan Merit Exam requirement

High school content courses successfully completed at the middle school, as approved by the Board of Education, will meet the Michigan Merit Curriculum requirements for high school, and will be applied to the 22 credits needed for graduation.
To prepare Michigan’s students with the knowledge and skills needed for the jobs in the 21st Century, the State of Michigan has enacted a rigorous set of statewide graduation requirements that are among the best in the nation. Effective with the Class of 2011 and beyond, sixteen graduation requirements will help prepare students for future success in college and the workplace. The Michigan Merit Curriculum is aligned with new and developing Michigan High School Content Expectations (HSCE). VISUAL, PERFORMING, & APPLIED ARTS - 1 Credit
ONLINE LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Students may achieve this requirement by taking an online
course, participating in structured online learning activities,
or participating in online experiences integrated into required
Michigan Merit Curriculum courses. Presently Computer
Applications, Computer Literacy, and AH Computer 1 meet
this requirement.
LANGUAGE OTHER THAN ENGLISH (Class of 2016)
2 Credits
Complete in Grades 9-12; or equivalent learning experience in
grades K-1
