We are SO looking forward to seeing the excited faces of our students and families in the coming days. Roosevelt's theme for this year is "You Belong Here", and I'm eager to see the many ways that this mindset will support the academic and social/emotional well-being of all of our students, parents and staff.

 

As a friendly reminder, I am sharing a few important notes below for you all to consider as you prepare for the start of the year. Our office will be sending a bi-weekly communication newsletter on Fridays throughout the school year that will contain helpful reminders for you, too!

 

• Tuesday, August 27th: 2:30-3:30 Meet and Greet---Please feel free to bring and drop off any of the items from the suggested school supply list to our Meet and Greet! 
• Monday, September 2nd: 7:00 P.M.--Join me on our Roosevelt Elementary School Facebook Page for story time to celebrate the start of a new year!
• Tuesday, September 3rd: Half Day of School (8:10-11:45) & Taste of Kindergarten/Y5s (8:30-9:45 & 10:15-11:30). 
• Wednesday, September 4th: School begins at 8:10 and ends at 3:30 with NO LATE START.
• Tuesday, September 10th: 6:00-6:45 (Y5-2nd) Back to School Night, 6:45-7:30 (3rd-5th) Back to School Night
• Wednesday, September 11th: First Late Start--Doors open at 8:55 for students with the option of early drop off for childcare in our media center beginning at 7:30. Please enter through bus doors for early drop off on Wednesdays.
