Board of Education Selects Next Superintendent

On Monday, March 22, the Lakeshore Board of Education moved forward on hiring Mr. Greg Eding as its next Superintendent of Schools, contingent upon successful contract negotiations. 

Board President, Dr. Jason Beckrow stated, “Mr. Eding’s calm, stable leadership; his focus on collaboration and continuous improvement; and his passion for children and for the Lakeshore community will serve the district well.  His plan for the next 90 days includes enhancing relationships and partnerships, increasing the use of relevant data, establishing a team first culture, fostering community engagement and ensuring staff support.  The Board looks forward to working with him to drive that work and more well into the future.”

Mr. Eding has served the Zeeland Public Schools since 2004.  He was the middle school principal for twelve years, prior to becoming the high school principal in 2016.  Previously, he was the assistant principal of Chandler Woods Charter Academy for three years and served National Heritage Academies as its educational technology manager.  Mr. Eding taught and coached in the Hamilton Community Schools for six years.
